Domain Rating and Ahrefs Rank come from the Ahrefs API under our own subscription; visit estimates, engagement, ranks and countries come from third-party Similarweb-style datasets. Every report footnotes which provider answered and when.
No third-party tool sees a site's analytics; traffic figures are estimates and authority scores are one vendor's model. Reading two independent estimates side by side is the honest way to use them — the API does exactly that, a technique we wrote up here.
Recently checked domains are served from cache with their original fetch date shown. Popular domains stay warm, which is also why the paid API charges 0 credits for cache hits.
